Money & Budgeting

Do these calculators store the numbers I enter? +

No. Every calculation happens from the values in the page address, so the result is shareable and nothing is written to our database. Nothing you type is tied to you.

Why is the result called an estimate? +

Because a calculator applies one rule to inputs you choose, while real life applies brackets, fees and local rules. Each page states what its formula includes and, more importantly, what it leaves out.

Do I need an account to use the calculators? +

No. There is no registration, no sign-up wall and no limit on how many times you can calculate something.

How is the situation status decided? +

Each calculator has an ordered list of thresholds. The first one that matches your own result decides the status, and the page explains the threshold behind it so the label is never a black box.

Which currency do the calculators use? +

Results are shown in the currency configured for the site, which is US dollars. The input fields use the same symbol, so the form and the result always match.

Can I trust the numbers in the worked examples? +

Every worked example is run through the same engine the calculator uses, so the result shown next to an example is computed rather than typed in. If an example ever disagrees with the formulas, the page shows the computed version.

Work & Income

Can I put a calculator on my own site? +

Yes. Every calculator page links to an embed page with the snippet for that specific calculator, and the embedded version carries an attribution link back.

Cost of Living & Moving

Are the cost of living estimates based on live market data? +

No. The relocation estimate is built from a destination cost level you enter, adjusted for household size, lifestyle and housing type. It is a planning figure and should be checked against real listings before you decide.
