Debt avalanche

The debt avalanche pays the minimum on every debt and puts all spare money towards the balance with the highest interest rate. It costs the least in total interest.

Its counterpart, the snowball, targets the smallest balance first. The snowball usually produces earlier wins and the avalanche usually produces a lower total cost.
